1. Agniveer SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit)

 

Let's talk about Agniveer SSR. You can enter the Indian Navy through this scheme by clearing 12th grade with physics, math, and any additional subject, such as chemistry, biology, or computer science. The selection for the position can also be done through an online exam followed by a physical & medical test. The fitness test may include 1.6km running with squats and push-ups. The physical standard may vary according to gender.

 

2. National Defence Academy (NDA)

 

The next important method of entering the Indian Navy is through the National Defence Academy position, which is given by the UPSC and conducted by the NDA twice every year.

The eligible persons are 12th pass with physics & math with 16.5 to 19.5 age criteria & only unmarried candidates are eligible. The selection is also through an NDA written exam followed by SSB interview, a medical test, & then a merit list is prepared & selected candidates need to undergo training to become officers in the Indian Navy.

 

3. Navy AA (Artificer Apprentice)
